Pixel 2D space to change scenery/ mini games/ multiple choice dialog/ character customisation + collectables/ full screen splash art for major events/ sound track indicators
Can the game be won:
Multiple endings with different outcomes depending on players experience
Objective: working with different people to better understand their respective struggles

Bedroom or housing environment/ school environment/ bar or cafe/ garden or outdoors/ street level/ pc screen/ club/ casino/ darkness or empty space/ Internal thought visual representation
Environment would be different areas of the same building mostly.
Environment match up with visuals of main character and contrast the extra characters that pass through

Family and family relationships/ coworkers/ friends/ customers/ teachers/ authorities/
cafe or hotel scene with two main focal point characters + extras for story telling. 2 main characters + around 6 extras?
Side characters represent different problems, inside out vibes

Main character- Teacher/ Therapist or Inhabitant of game location
main character works as player POV
story told through other characters passing through location that interacts with you.
multiple endings depending on players choices when interacting with different characters,
contrast between extra characters and main character + their environment
