Labour Market Info The UK games market is the leading country in terms of revenue in the whole of Europe beating out country's such as Germany and France who do not have annual revenues as large as the UK. The UK video game market has sky rocketed as a main stream option for entertainment parrying with things such as general television and Netflix. A large amount of people would opt to sit down and play a video game online with friends or work on a solo game play through over sitting and watching a film or series or would find some sort of balance between the two instead of only watching film and media. Role Models
Who is my role-model? My chosen artist in the games industry is Lauren Soanes. She is a game designer from California employed by Blizzard Entertainment and is responsible for a lot of the design work within cinematics and cosmetic design within the Overwatch Universe. She has worked on many projects for Overwatch while at blizzard including some of the cinematics and lore as well as the most recently added 'Dokiwatch' skin set and lore within the universe. Responsibilities of my games artist My artist has multiple roles and responsibilities within their job role that vary across different areas, they are involved in many different aspects of creating the general universe of Overwatch from creating skins and more content for characters as well as making cinematics that delve into the different areas of the overwatch lore and explain things on a deeper more personal level. Real worlds - Key art
GCPS KEY ART I'm not confident at all in backgrounds and usually add a gradient or a funky pattern so I asked my friend to teach me. They suggested I downloaded a brush pack off of Gumroad: Link to the set I have This one in particular was free and states it is Royalty free to use. It took me a while to get used to and I didn't really branch out from the few brushes I got taught to use but I'm so proud of these and it was relatively easy to do once I got the hang of it. Brush packs: Brushes I used: Process I started with sketching my characters pose and then blocking out some buildings with a big brush I then colour picked from an image of a sunset some warm colours and slowly added some darker colours like red. To blend them I used the smudge tool but also made sure that was set to a cloud brush because it merged the sharper edges together without ruining the blends I went back and forth with the sky till I was happy.
